Italian Bedroom

I have been working with my parents in updating their bedroom and we have finally finished! They recently took a trip to Italy and fell in love with everything and my dad ( a photographer), took some beautiful photos on their journey that they really wanted to showcase and actually inspired the whole room design.

BEFORE
The room before wasn't very invited and was bare and drab. They wanted a fresh clean look that they loved to be in.

AFTER

We started with the satin quilt and Italian pictures to inspire the room. With a new fresh coat of paint in a white linen color, it just brought the room to a whole new level.

These pictures above the bed, we found on Etsy, they are copies of original vintage botanicals and set in Restoration Hardware frames.

Using wall lights gives a cleaner look on the nightstand and doesn't get cluttered.

My mom and I searched EVERYWHERE for MONTHS for the perfect bench for the room. We decided last minute to go to a barn sale and found this bench in the first vendors store we went into! It was perfect with a scrolled arm, the color, and cane detail on the seat. We bought it right away without even thinking. She also scored the vintage hand stitched and velvet pillow for $10. The rest of the pillows, I made myself to give a pop of color and depth to the room.
Fun objects we found on our shopping adventures. We love the yoga man :) he brings in a bit of humor.

Love this bench area, it looks so cozy, and the pictures my dad took look amazing on the wall in these nice golden toned frames.

Mommy's Little Farmer Nursery

Bradley and Lindsay are expecting a little boy in about 5 weeks. I had been working with Lindsay on ideas for her nursery, but I could tell she was getting overwhelmed and indecisive about the room. She wanted a "pretty" boy room with farm and rustic accents. We had it planned out but she still couldn't see the complete vision.
To take the stress away from Lindsay, her husband and I schemed with her family to get her out of the house for a few hours while her dad and myself finished the nursery. Her dad was so great and was very patients holding everything up for me to see before he hung it on the walls.
Lindsey was in complete shock!
I felt like I was in one of those home makeover t.v shows hiding in my car down the block and waiting for Lindsay to get back to the house with her mother and sister. It was so much fun and we pulled it off without a hitch :)
SORRY about the horrible picture quality, I am working on getting a new camera :)
Elly wanted to go with me :(
