Rock Me Baby Like a Wagon Wheel

So... I went to the thrift store one day and couldn't pass up this wagon wheel couch and chairs. I was drawn to them for some reason and knew I could give them a new contemporary life.

I found a picture in my mom's photo album from when she was little and they had the same exact fabric on their couch!

I used outdoor fabric, so it could be used indoors or outdoors and easy to clean!

Halloween

I know I'm a little behind, I am a HUGE procrastinator!
For this years Halloween Carnival in our town, we decided to do a haunted house. I was the one taking tickets at the door, so I wanted to be scary, but not too scary for the kids so I decided to be Frankenstein's Bride. I do have to say, it turned out pretty good. I made the costume and watched this amazing tutorial on how to do my hair http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfpQubFVf7U.

Baby-Q

Baby-Q
Welcome to the Baby-Q
Everyone signed a onesie, so the parents could be reminded of  all the friends they have that love the baby already.

We had a raffle for those that brought the parents diapers

Forks and napkins were in these cute bags for everyone to grab

The mom to be (her 2nd time) first in the line for the awesome BBQ my husband cooked

I'm a vegetarian (most of the time), but everyone said this was some awesome BBQ

My plate (As you can see, I was in it for the cupcakes!)

A gift from the Parents to be (for a second time),  mason jars filled with mixed drinks (Baby Maker and Apple Pie)

I created my own cupcake stand with a tree trunk piece and mason jars

Menu for the cupcakes (Oreo Crunch,Pumpkin Pie,and Chocolate peanut butter cookie dough) they were delicious!
The Mom-to-Be ( for the 2nd time) made peanut butter truffles and apple snicker salad!!

My attempt at a Blue Velvet layered cake and Ombre frosting (it actually turned out very good after a few kinks on the frosting) I love the cake topper I made

It's A Boy!

Table centerpieces- Mason jars filled with colored water and tissue paper flowers

The Mom-to-Be's (for the 2nd time) team won the Baby Trivia Game and received a prize!
S'Mores Bar and Menu..It was so much fun trying the different S'Mores recipes
Perfect for the fire

Brent (My husband) had a little too much fun with the baby trivia game..guess the melted candy bar in the diaper (he cheated and still lost..haha)
Baby Food Jar Chandelier I made (It looked so great at night) it was hard to get a good pic though

Opening gifts area (I made the pillows and have to brag a bit because they are so stinkin' cute)

Another pic of the welcome table...we had an accident when the jar tipped over int he wind and soaked the onesie :(

The Parents-to-Be (for the 2nd time) holding their pillows, or should I say, the baby's pillows

This is how we ended the night ( A beer chugging contest from baby bottles!)

Good Time!
